Step inside one of the nation’s most specialized nuclear training environments for both Boiling Water Reactors (BWR) and Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR). The Westinghouse Premier Training Facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee offers an exclusive, behind‑the‑scenes look at the systems, equipment, and safety protocols that support the operation of commercial nuclear power plants across the United States.

This immersive tour provides participants with a rare opportunity to explore a full‑scale, non‑operational reactor used to prepare nuclear technicians, engineers, and plant operators. Visitors will gain insight into how reactor components function, how operators are trained to manage complex scenarios, and how Westinghouse supports the safe, reliable generation of carbon‑free nuclear energy.

Making a Difference, One Shift at a Time

There is no better way to give back than by investing your time into our own neighborhood. We are thrilled to announce that we are volunteering again at the Chattanooga Food Bank! Every hour you spend packing boxes or sorting donations directly impacts local families facing food insecurity. Let’s show up, work together, and make a tangible difference in our community!

This is a joint effort of ASME Chattanooga Section and Chattanooga Engineers Club.

Required "footwear" - must be shoes that cover entire foot, FRONT AND BACK, no open toe shoes, no sandals.

We also suggest bringing a refillable water bottle.
