ASHRAE- All Things Refrigerants, Dr. Brian Fricke, ORNL [RSVP]

"All Things Refrigerants” by Dr. Brian Fricke, Group Leader for the Building Equipment Research Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. 

During his nearly eight years at ORNL, Brian has been involved in the assessment and evaluation of low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants in commercial refrigeration systems. Prior to joining ORNL, Brian was an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Missouri in Kansas City.

Brian will present an update on refrigerants, including a brief history of refrigerants as well as the status of current and future refrigerants, with a focus on air-conditioning and commercial refrigeration applications. In addition, Brian will present the results of several refrigerant studies conducted at ORNL as well as provide a summary of on-going flammable refrigerant research sponsored by ASHRAE.

REMINDER – We have a NEW LOCATION for this year.  We will be meeting in a space provided by Calvary Chapel at 3415 Broad St, Chattanooga, TN 37409.  Enter through the doors on the white building with a “YOUTH” sign on top.  Parking is free.  Lunch will be catered from the on-site restaurant per our normal setup for $20.
