Chattanooga Engineers Club, ASME Chattanooga, and ChaTech (formerly Chattanooga Technology Council) will jointly celebrate National Welding Month by showcasing an Early Innovator award applicant, Keith McConnel, with a hand-free welding accessory, and entrepreneurial Chambers Welding & Fabrication Corporation.
Keith McConnel is an experienced business creator with a demonstrated history of working in the logistics and supply chain industry. He is skilled as an airline pilot and many aspects of commercial aviation, as well as welding. Keith has a Bachelors of Science degree in Aerospace from Middle Tennessee State University. He will talk about his design, prototype, testing and next phase.
Carla Askonas, Executive Director of Chatech, will provide information about Early Innovator award.
The program will also include our first virtual tour with Chambers Welding & Fabrication Corporation. We will visit a full service welding company focusing on customized fabrication, welding and repair. Chanda Maldonado and Brent Chambers will showcase some of their projects. Chanda might tell us about how an RN with a BA in Healthcare Management see entrepreneurship and welding. Brent is skilled in many welding methods as well as inspection.
