On Monday, Sep 14 at noon the Chattanooga Engineers Club presents 3D Scanning Technology by MBI Companies Inc.

This is a virtual event and a joint meeting with ASCE Chattanooga and Associated General Contractors (AGC) of East Tennessee.  Please register through Zoom here and you will receive the access information by email.

In the accelerating digital age, 3D building scanning is becoming the go-to tool for engineers seeking to reduce time and costs while increasing overall quality and accuracy in the design delivery.   From future capacity planning, data capture, as-builts delivery, inventory tracking, and improved maintenance; 3D scanning offers a state-of-the-art non-contact, non-destructive process for converting a real-world object into a 3D model with significant engineering applications in today’s world.

In this interactive session, our speakers will provide guidance on:

  • What is 3D Scanning?
  • How is it performed?
  • Why is it important and what are the benefits?
