Joint meeting from ChaTech, Chattanooga Chamber's International Business Council and TN-Chin Network
Please attend a virtual event on September 24, 2020 at 11:00 for an "interview" with an "international hacker." We will use some acting to get inside the mind of a hacker to help us better understand their motives and the evolving cyber-security threats that we read about every day. After the drama, hear about ways to protect your organization from these criminal masterminds. Speakers: Brian Kirk is the Director of the Elliott Davis Digital Operations and Cybersecurity Practice. He has more than 25 years of experience in Information Technology with the last 10 years focused on cybersecurity. Brian's diverse background includes roles as global network manager, infrastructure manager, enterprise architect, vice president of technology and chief information security officer. Annie Brink is the Business Development coordinator for the Elliott Davis Digital Practice. She helps identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities by generating leads, maintaining client relationships, and coordinating promotional activities. The International Hacker has spent 15 years performing enterprise IT support before transitioning to a more lucrative and illicit career on the Dark Web. Frustrated by the lack of employment opportunities and low wages from traditional IT work in his home country, he was drawn to the allure of financial freedom offered by a career in cybercrime. An expert in virtualization, networking and multiple firewall technologies, his overall background in IT has been a valuable addition to his organized crime team.
