Remote Monitoring Technology by Skytec LLC

Skytec, founded in 2015, using remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS) technologies to provide the full spectrum of image and data capturing, with unmanned aerial systems (UAS), manned aircraft, and satellite imaging. The team delivers dynamic imaging and data science solutions, enabling companies to measure and optimize sustainability practices.

Through a partnership with the Southeastern Tennessee Development District (SETD), Skytec is providing pair satellite monitoring with water quality testing for natural resource and environmental studies in the Sequatchie Valley. The initiative targets areas of concern in the lower section of the Sequatchie River watershed, Cumberland Plateau, and the western escarpment of Walden’s Ridge.

Members and guests toured Skytec on Feb. 10, 2020.  Bill Rogers, CEO and Andy Carroll, Founder and CTO showed us their equipment and technology.

Please join us for an update from Andy Carroll.

Andy has a BS in Environmental and Earth Science from Furman University, and MS in Environmental Science from UTC.  He was an adjunct professor and manager of GIS before founding Skytec.

Online access information will be sent Friday before the scheduled meeting.
