Updates from Bryan College's Vogel School of Engineering

Around Engineers Week 2018, Bryan College announced that The Vogel School of Engineering will open its doors to students in the upcoming fall semester. The school is named for alumnus Brigadier General George B. Vogel who, with his wife Doris, provided a substantial gift for the new school.

Chattanooga Engineers Club members visited the new school and met some of the freshmen on February 11, 2019.  Since then, faculty members and students have participated in CEC meetings and E Week events.  Chattanooga E Week, ASME Chattanooga and Chattanooga Regional Manufacturing Association presented E Week scholarship to five students this year.

Dr. Lyle Smith, Dean of Vogel School of Engineering, will provide an overview and updates. Justin Porter, Chair of the Industry Advisory Board, Electrical Engineer/Chief of Staff to CTO at Unum, will share news on the first graduating class.  CEC's own Paul Snyder and Lulu Copeland, serving on the IAB, will provide comments on how the engineering community can support these future engineers.

Chandler Hinson, current student, will have a short presentation on the VEX Robotics Club launching this fall semester.

online meeting access information will be provided to registered attendees.
