Chattanooga Engineers Club in support of the annual MFGDay in October have coordinated and collaborated with many partners with tour to promote manufacturing in our region.
Global Center for Digital Innovation (GCDI) and Chattanooga State Center for Engineering Technology Arts & Science (CETAS)
Monday, October 4, 2021
As a collaboration between Hamilton County Schools and Chattanooga State Community College, the Global Center for Digital Innovation (GCDI) is a primary division of our Digital Fabrication Ecosystem of Ideation (entrepreneurship), Creation (digital fabrication), and Production (manufacturing). The GCDI is the nation's first K-14 digital fabrication center. Our goal is to provide tools and processes in a safe, equitable, collaborative, and inspirational space to embolden a maker identity and ignite the entrepreneurial spirit. Through digital and traditional fabrication, students and community makers can improve their own lives and the communities around them by turning their ideas into reality.
Kristin Burrus, NBCT, Innovation Program Manager, Global Center for Digital Innovation, STEM School Chattanooga will lead this portion of the tour.
Additionally, we will visit Chattanooga State's new Robotic, Electrical and Mechanical Labs. The new labs were added during the phase III completion/final build out of the Engineering and Information Technology's of the CETAS complex.
Mask are required!
Please see campus map with CETAS as building #16 - https://www.chattanoogastate.edu/sites/default/files/campus_map.pdf

We will gather at the entry (next to Conference room 101, Study room 102 and 103, and elevator) of the new area (look for 3D printed pieces by Branch Technology).
