Updates from TN Valley Robotics

Monday, Nov 8, 2021

12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m.

Speaker: Dr. Richard Manning

Chattanooga was an early adopter of robotics due to our past president, Ed Chapin's tireless efforts.  Some history can be found at the TN VALLEY ROBOTICS website.

However, we will hear about what is happening in the region with robotics through TN Valley Robotics.  The leadership team consisting of Scott Rosenow, Charley Spencer, and Richard Manning were all recruited into this lifelong passion by Ed Chapin, as well as some of the volunteers.

The goal of the organization is to support Robotics in education, teaching students the STEM skills needed in preparation for future job roles.

The 501C3 organization supports teams in the valley with mentors, training sessions, competitions and more.  Currently, the events include FIRST robotics and VEX activities.

Dr. Manning, President of TN Valley Robotics, CEC's treasurer,  will update us on how the practice and competitions pivoted during the pandemic, and some of the events in 2021 and 2022.

Please know before this presentation, the club will hold an election for 2022 officers.  Your attendance is needed.

Online access information will be provided to registered participants.
