For over 100 years, the Tivoli Theatre has represented and reflected the character of the Chattanooga community. This facility ushered in 1921 with silent screen movies, grand Wurlitzer organ events and legendary shows. The performing arts are reflective of a health community-socially, educationally, and economically. The upcoming preservation of the Tivoli and the creation of the Tivoli Performing Arts Center will enable the Tivoli Theatre Foundation to continue to attract the highest caliber talent to our community and create our own version of the Lincoln Center for Chattanooga. During this presentation, we will be discussing the history of both the Tivoli Theatre and the Tivoli Center, the plans for the preservation and renovation of the facilities and a potential walking tour (depending on construction status).
