Since 1996, the American Welding Society has designated the month of April as National Welding Month to bring awareness to the welding industry and its available career paths.
AWS Chattanooga and Hamilton County Schools are cohosting the 13th annual welding competition at Sequoyah High School.
THE EVENT IS MADE POSSIBLE WITH SUPPORT FROM LOCAL BUSINESSES AND INDUSTRY
Test Time Limit:
2 hrs - Plate
2.5 hrs - Pipe
Participants must bring Your Own PPE, Welding Gear, Chipping Hammer, Wire Brush, & 4” Grinder.
Registration for participants / teams ends on March 20, 2023.
*High School Instructors Must Attend*
Spectators and employers are welcome and encourage to attend! Employers can visit with the students and instructors; companies can set up booth/display.
