UTC Senior Design Presentations

Senior design, also known as capstone design, is the final educational element that ties together engineering, science, and humanities learnings as engineering students complete their degree program. The team project is an opportunity for students to work together, with faculty and sponsors, and apply the engineering knowledge accumulated over the last few years.

Chattanooga Engineers Club have invited UTC College of Engineering and Computer Science to present annually.

Dr. Erkan Kaplanoglu, Associate Professor of Mechatronics and Director of Biomechatronic and Assisted Technology Lab, supported seven senior projects this year. Dr. Kaplanoglu will introduce the two teams presenting:

Project 1. Mask Machine Automation

Team members are Jennifer Walton (presenting), Jordan Hammond, and Tony Nguyen

Project 2. Continuum Robot for Finger Rehabilitation

Team members are Thomas Platt (presenting), Katelin Brewer, and Mario Pukl

This will be a virtual meeting to allow out town members to join us.
