Chattanooga Regional Manufacturers Association (CRMA) is collaborating with Southeast Tennessee Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) on a quarterly Lunch & Learn Series.

The first joint event is happening on March 19 at the Smart Factory!

Panelists:
Nathan Beene, Darrell Edwards, and Trey Shoemaker.

Nathan Beene is the Sr. Director of IT – Enterprise Systems for Kenco, with responsibilities for supporting all back-office software processes – primarily HR, Finance, Safety, Quality, and Communications. He has been with Kenco for 18 years, with the first 10 in the Engineering group and the last 8 with IT. Prior to Kenco, Nathan spent 12 years with Coors Ceramics in the semiconductor manufacturing area, and 2 years with Erlanger Health Systems with primary responsibility in the area of ERP implementation for inventory and procurement.

Nathan holds a BSE in Engineering Management from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga and a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics from UTC. 

Darrell Edwards currently serves as the Assistant Professor of Practice in the Supply Chain Management Department at the University of Tennessee. Prior to joining the UT faculty, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at La-Z-Boy Incorporated.

Edwards holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree from the Fox School of Business at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and a master’s degree in global management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona.

Trey Shoemaker is the Human Resources Manager for Komatsu America Corp., Chattanooga Manufacturing Operation. He has over 12 years of experience in multiple areas of Human Resources in the manufacturing industry, including talent acquisition, training and development, human resources management, and workforce planning.

Trey holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UT Chattanooga and a master’s degree in Sport Psychology from UT Knoxville. He has also obtained his Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
