BASF Geismar, LA site implemented the Tech Academy during summer of 2015. The week-long educational and workforce development program was hosted at River Parishes Community College. TECH Academy encourages students to learn more about technical careers through experiments, demonstrations, field trips and interactions with industry professionals.
BASF Chattanooga leadership team started working with Chattanooga State Community College in 2018 to start a program. Now in its 5th year, and four summer programs later, many local high school students have participated and gained valuable experience as they explore manufacturing career options.

Lisa Jackson, Director of Wacker Institute and Division Coordinator of Engineering and Information Technology at Chattanooga State, will speak on the partnership and the role of the college in the collaboration.
