New and Innovative (Patented) Concept of Convex Stability for practical stabilization, control and signal processing problems in Multiple Engineering Systems

Date: Monday, September 22, 2025, 3:00 – 5:00 ET

Location: Chattanooga State CETAS Building (Gerald McCormick), Rooms 107-109

Presenter: Dr. Rama K. Yedavalli

Founder and President of Robust Engineering Systems, LLC

Academy Professor, The Ohio State University

Dr. Yedavalli invented a new control design methodology.

Dr. Yedavalli’s breakthrough challenges the conventional reliance on eigenvalues, offering a fresh perspective on system stability and control. His innovative methodology paves the way for more practical and robust solutions in stabilization, control, and signal processing across diverse engineering fields. By moving away from traditional mathematical constraints, this new approach unlocks possibilities for smoother, more accurate system performance.

For example, if you want your control system output to follow the commanded input exactly, no matter what the time varying nature your input (command) is, or if you want oscillation-less, jerk-less, chatter-less and jitter-less smooth controlled outputs, then you need to use this procedure.

Dr. Yedavalli developed the algorithms contained in the RES CSSP Toolbox to assist with this design procedure, which is patented under US 11,815,862 B2, Nov. 14, 2023.

Bio: Dr. Yedavalli is a Fellow of IEEE, ASME, AAAS, and an Associate Fellow of AIAA. He has received several awards, including the O. Hugo Schuck Best Paper award (2001) and the Lumley Research Award (2002). He authored two textbooks on control systems and flight dynamics, with a third book forthcoming in 2025. With nearly 200 publications and numerous invited seminars, he holds the title Academy Professor at Ohio State University and is the Founder and President of Robust Engineering Systems, LLC.

This event will qualify for 2 PDHs.

Requested PDH's are included with active memberships (ASME/CEC); $10 for non-members, which can be applied to a membership (CEC).
