Celebrated annually on the first Friday in October with events continuing throughout the month, MFG Day has grown into one of the most visible workforce development movements in the country.

Each year, manufacturers and their partners across the country open their doors to students, educators, parents and community members to show what manufacturing looks like and learn how things are made.

About Confluent Medical Technologies

Confluent Medical Technologies, headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, applies materials science to MedTech innovation. Confluent specializes in design, development, and large-scale manufacturing of interventional catheter-based devices and implants. The company's key capabilities include Nitinol components and tubing, balloon and complex catheters, high-precision polymer tubing, and implantable textiles. Confluent operates in 8 state-of-the-art facilities across the United States and Costa Rica and currently employ over 2,000 employees, with 80 at the Chattanooga site.

The company announced in December 2020 that it would invest $8.3 million to build and equip the new facility in Hamilton County.

This is an opportunity to visit the 5-year-old facility.
