The Engineering Inspiration Award celebrates outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering within a team’s school and community.
The Chattanooga STEM school won the Engineering Inspiration award at the Rocket City Regional in Huntsville last Saturday, March 24. The award includes a trip to the FIRST World Championship in Houston, Texas. The school has a 30 member team and the cost to send them to Houston for the four-day competition is about $16,000, or nearly $600 per student. Many of the students are from low income families and the team is looking for donations to defray the cost.
